Homeless Facts

In the 2008 Homeless Count there were AT LEAST 3,062 people homeless in Metro Vancouver.

Since 2002, there has been a shocking 137% increase in overall homelessness and a 373% increase in the number of people sleeping outside. /.

Proposed Bosman Residence

Supportive housing

Development Permit Board will be considering the application to allow creating of 100 units of supportive housing on the current site of the Bosman Motor Hotel, located at 1060 Howe St. The proposed Bosman Residence will open May 2010 as a supportive housing residence to be managed by the PHS Community Services Society (PHS) in partnership with the Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC), Streettohome Foundation and the Vancouver Foundation.
